Logbook – Leixoes to Figuera da Foz 22 Aug 19

A disturbed night but enough sleep to continue, we raised anchor at 0730 to push South.  There aren’t many anchorages or marinas on the Atlantic coast so we where aiming for Figuera and the marina as the next stop.

Just after departing we saw a pod of dolphins who stayed with us for about 15 minutes.  Nice to see the wildlife again and they were probably hunting sardines on the migration path.

Having not been ashore for several days I baked bread rolls for lunch and a cake.

In the afternoon I baked buns.  Practice, clearly makes perfect and I have some practice to so before I get anywhere near perfect.

As we turned towards the entrance to the river where the marina was we encountered a westerly called Equinox and sailed almost in company into the estuary.

We tied up alongside the marina to book in and then moved to a tidy little sheltered berth for the night.
